Foothill Bookstore

I can no longer recommend the Foothill College Bookstore to anyone to purchase anything. They are terribly understaffed, and it has been VERY difficult for the FH Bookstore to fulfill textbook orders, PureMix Pro passcodes, etc., to students. Therefore, I recommend AVOIDING the FH Bookstore when at all possible!

I will update all the Course Syllabi and Canvas Assignments with recommendations on where the BEST places are to buy stuff (instead of the FH Bookstore).

Changes and Upgrades

  1. Canvas vs. Wiki
    1. I decided to separate out all Module Content pages into MusicTech Wiki
    2. Backlinks to the required content will be provided in the Canvas Assignment instructions
    3. Assignments will be delivered in Canvas
      • Go to Syllabus in the Canvas menu
      • Or Grades in Canvas menu
  2. Assignments, Scores, and Grades
    • I will be posting all of the remaining assignments for all classes ASAP
    • Also working on scoring recently submitted assignments (doing this now)
  3. Multitracks
    • I recently created a database in Airtable (which is like Google Sheets on steroids)
    • Collection of amazing multi-tracks and STEMs

    • I will be updating all the Canvas Mixing Assignments accordingly
  4. MixUp
    • Mixup is a required application used in ALL my classes
    • I will no longer be including SoundCloud, or any other music streaming services, in my Music Tech classes
    • MixUp allows uploading 24bit WAV files that sound MUCH better than SoundCloud etc.
      • Easier on my ears and also easier for me to score and grade in Canvas
    • MixUp Pro comes free with a PureMix Pro Subscription
    • There is also a FREE VERSION of MixUp

    • I'm going to post notes on what happened and what we learned
