Drum Editing - YouTube Playlist (18 Videos)

Tempo Map

  1. Determine if the song was recorded to a Click Track
    • Setup Click Track and check sync to music
    • MIDI or Audio Clips on Tick Based Tracks
  2. If song was not recorded to a click track
    • Create a Tempo Map of the song

Beat Detective vs. Elastic Audio

  1. Elastic Audio Pros: can be easier and faster than Beat Detective
  2. Elastic Audio Cons: The time stretching can create artifacts that degrade the sound
  3. Beat Detective Pros: No artifacts from time stretch.
    • Sound quality is not degraded
  4. Beat Detective Cons: More difficult to use.
    • Sometimes creates edits with pops and clicks that can be difficult to smooth out
