Overview
In Decibel Assignment 1 - Discussion, we shook hands with Decibel and watched a collection of videos overviewing some features and tips. Now, let's dig a little deeper and explore the different modules of Decibel.
Instructions
- Create your ideal meter
- Descriptions of the different modules are listed under "Features" (scroll down the page)
- Test out your Decibel meter on various content
- You can use it as an external device to monitor your computer's global output or as a plugin within your DAW
- Create a screenshot of the personalized Decibel meter you created
Deliver in Canvas
- Upload your screenshot image file in the Canvas Discussion
- Answer these questions in the Discussion:
- What modules did you choose?
- Why did you choose those modules?
- How does Decibel compare to other loudness meters you may have used?
- Are the readings of the parameters similar, wider, or more narrow than other meters?
- Is there anything Decibel could do better to integrate into your specific DAW?
- Will you continue to use it? Why or why not?
