One of the fastest ways of learning something:
- Find someone that has mastered something you are interested in learning.
- Study with them directly.
In my formative years, I would read album covers and find the names of producers, composer and audio engineers. Then I would track down their phone numbers, CALL them up and say, "Hi, my name is Bruce. I really admire your work and want to be like you when I grow up! Will you please be my friend?" You might assume their response would be "go away kid." On the contrary, people at the top are very willing to "pay it forward" by sharing their knowledge with new, up and coming aspirants. They had mentors too. Most people in this business are very evolved and generous, with a willingness to do good.

Whatever I am interested in learning, I will find mentors to teach me.
