Module 01 - Intro to Mixing
Overview
We have a wide range of students in this class. Some of you have never mixed anything, and are still figuring out what a DAW is. Some of you are professional artists and mix engineers monetizing your work on Spotify and YouTube. That's the beauty of a community college!
So, we start out with an introduction to the art of mixing. You will first listen to an amazing podcast with Brian Lee White. There is a TON really valuable information within that interview. There are lots of links included with the podcast, at the bottom of the page, so you can follow along at home. After listening to the podcast, you will watch a few videos from Alan Parsons and Brian Lee White discussing the concept of mixing and mixing strategies.
Most of our quizzes have 10 questions. You can retake the quizzes as many times as you want, and Canvas will keep your highest score. If you notice any whacky bugs or errors in the quiz questions, please let us know at support@brucetambling.com.
The field of Music Technology is constantly evolving. And the Art and Science of Mixing is one of our favorite parts. Let the games begin!
