Overview
Meters are an essential tool in a musicians toolbox. They can be used to tell you a wide variety of information about the sounds you are hearing (levels, dynamics, frequency, etc). Throughout Music Tech history, we have had many different analog techniques and tools to measure sound. In todays technological climate, we are spoiled to have the state-of-the-art ability inside our DAWS and even on our mobile devices!
Decibel by Process.Audio is a "super meter" that is fully customizable. And just like Mixup, Decibel is included for FREE your PureMix Pro subscription. It's a great time to be an MTEC student.
If you don't have a PureMix Pro subscription, feel free to use the 30-Day Decibel Free Trial to complete this Extra Credit Assignment.
