Students who have not yet participated (logged in or shown up to the class Canvas website) will be DROPPED. This is a mandatory LAW in the State of California. You have been warned.

Foothill Bookstore

I can no longer recommend the Foothill College Bookstore to anyone to purchase anything. They are terribly understaffed, and it has been VERY difficult for the FH Bookstore to fulfill textbook orders, PureMix Pro passcodes, etc., to students. Therefore, I recommend AVOIDING the FH Bookstore when at all possible!

I will update all the Course Syllabi, Canvas Assignments with recommendations on where the BEST places are to buy stuff (instead of the FH Bookstore).

Changes and Upgrades

  1. Multitracks
    • I recently created a database in Airtable (which is like Google Sheets on steroids)
    • Collection of amazing multi-tracks and STEMs

    • I will be updating all the Canvas Mixing Assignments accordingly
  2. MixUp
    • Mixup is a required application used in ALL my classes
    • I will no longer be including SoundCloud, or any other music streaming services, in my Music Tech classes
    • MixUp allows uploading 24bit WAV files that sound MUCH better than SoundCloud
      • Easier on my ears and also easier for me to score and grade in Canvas
    • MixUp Pro comes free with a PureMix Pro Subscription
    • There is also a FREE VERSION of MixUp

  1. We had a super cool Zoom hangout last Thursday night. We're editing that video to share if you want to check it out
  2. We had an AMAZING gathering at Reynolds Circle Studios last Saturday!
    • I'm going to post notes on what happened and what we learned
    • I will also post links to the audio files recorded and mixed
